The Flowers´ Festival

Elsa Beskow´s picture books for children have been known and loved for over a century.

The flowers invite Lise to their Midsummer festival, and the Midsummer fairy drops some poppy-juice into her eyes to make her invisable.

At the top of the garden, Queen Rose sits on her throne welcoming all the guests, surrounded by Lady Pansy, Lady Honeysuckle, Lord Bleeding Heart, and the rast of her court. The bumblebees and the birds each tell a story.
